Friday Night Ramblings

  • Today has felt like a never ending day. I was up at 4am to take Josh to the airport. He'll be in California until late Wednesday night for a conference. I miss him already. This is the first time I've been without him in Ithaca. It feels so weird and so empty in our apartment.
  • Tonight I went out with Jodi. She and I had dinner at a new local restaurant. It wasn't anything special like I was expecting. Luckily we had an awesome coupon that made the dinner super cheap. She had a fish sandwich and I had lasagna and our bill came to $11.65 with tax. Not too shabby.
  • Walked around the mall tonight. Realized how picky I am about spending money these days! I think quite a bit about making purchases before I do. Needless to say I came out of the mall with NOTHING!
  • I'm not 100% sure what I'm going to do with myself for the rest of the weekend. I think I'm going to take a trip to Watkins Glen (it's about 15 mins from us) to take some pictures of the lake. I'm also hoping to start making some jewelry. I have yet to start that hobby - I've just been collecting supplies! I also have some movies and books I got from the library that I need to watch/read. That should keep me busy most of the weekend :-)

  • And I shall leave you with what I treated myself to tonight. I hadn't bought Ben & Jerrys in so long that this flavor is new to me! When I saw chocolate dinos I had to buy it. Oh and yes, that is a Ben & Jerrys shovel. My momma bought it for me when they visited Ben and Jerrys in Vermont!

I saw this blog entry and I thought you might like to check it out when you're around your house.

  2. I'm the same way when I go shopping, I think long and hard... I'm so not an impulse buyer! More times than not, I'll decide to buy something, then walk around the store a little bit, and eventually put it back b/c I've talked myself out of it! It drives Eddie crazy! LOL
