Huge Savings!

I decided to post two entries about our weekend. The first one is going to be about our trip to the mecca of grocery stores! lol

I miss that place like crazy. It's the grocery store that is located in the town that we use to live in. It's amazing enough that I save my coupons for a few months and we take a trip back to stock up, just like this one! What makes this grocery store so amazing? Well they double $1.00 coupons! Most stores only double coupons up to .99 cents. So what does this mean? Well often when I have a $1.00 coupon for an item I can get the item free after the coupon is doubled!

For example, yesterday some of the items I got for free because I had a $1.00 coupon doubled - 2 cans of shaving cream, Dove deodorant, 3 boxes of band-aids, hot sauce, pads, reach toothbrushes, floss, etc. Some items I got for just a few cents, for example - Colgate toothpaste for 50cents, Edge shaving cream for 29cents,etc. I also had some coupons for completely free items - such as the Stacy's Pita chips, Kotex Pads, and Oreos. Oh how I love coupons. :-)

So here are the pictures!

$300 worth of groceries for $100!!!!!!

Once we got home, I took everything out of the bags and organized it all on the counter! Finding homes for everything was quite the chore, lol.

  4. That is awesome! We don't have like ANY stores that do double coupons, up to any amount! I had to be really strategic when using my coupons & just wait for killer sales to pair them with, when I was doing the bargain thing. Awesome job!

  5. Where is the second entry missy?! RYC: Well, they're old, fossilized volcanoes. lol. Remnants really. Oh, and I find the most amazing sunglasses at thrift shops and the outdoor swap meet in Vegas. I know that when we go to visit in March, I'm hitting up the swap meet! I need a few new pairs. :)
